Hi.

Most of the time BRP/CAN-CAN choses some just slightly uncommon names in order to distinguish themselves, not to mention making it easier to do a net search for the product (in the beginning).

The name traxter for the BRP traxter atv line was something in relation to the old late 1950's Amphibious (with tank like tracks) atv called the traxter . Some claim it was a variation on TRACKER. Unfortunately cub cadet has already taken TRACKER sub-model name.

I am not certain what CAN-am will call it's UTV.

I think it might be something like Odyssey (in meaning), or perhaps something that refers to the elements (together in general) in nature.

That is more BRP's style.

My thoughts that it might be called.

Sentier: (meaning trail) and it's pronounced San-Tee-yay.

Rogue: for the sport model.

Terra or Teros: However that would conflict with Teryx, and terra-cross.

Odesey is a nice name . However it still belongs to the old small dune buggly like atvs from long ago.
That makes a lot of sense! Whatever it is I am sure it will be really cool

Some additional name ideas:

Rebel: for the sport model.

Terran, terrain, or Teran: for the work model.

RunAbout: Fits both models. Like the Ausies say " go walkabout " , "Go runabout".

Odyssey is a nice name . However it still belongs to the old small dune buggy like atvs from long ago.

Yep Honda makes an Odyssey, and nissan makes the Rogue.

I vote for "Runabout".
