We hope that you and yours can plan spending the Saturday before Halloween getting your pants scared off down here in Bell County, KY!

The 2nd Annual Haunted Forest Ride will begin on the Bridge to Nowhere on Highway 119 just east of Pineville, KY on Saturday, October 23rd. We encourage people to get there around 5:00 PM for some free food and information. At 6:00 PM we will hold the ATV and prize raffle drawing. The Haunted Trail will open at sundown. There is a rain delay date of Saturday, Oct 30th in the case of severe and heavy storms (which is unlikely during this time of the year, but just in case!). This year we plan on doing the ride much bigger and better than last year. We got quite a few compliments on the ride last year, and this year we have a larger budget and hopefully many more volunteers. We will have t-shirts available with a logo similar to the one above. If you own a business and would like to become a sponsor of the ride and get your business name on the back of the shirt, contact us through our email at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com

If you would like to volunteer for this event, just drop an email (hollercrawlers@hotmail.com) and let us know. If you'd like for you and your friends to set up a section of trail to decorate and have your own segment of the Haunted Trail, our event planning committee would be glad to hear your ideas and get you involved.

Also we can always use people to help direct traffic, set up decorations, and make props for the trail as well. If you can help in these areas, it will help us accommodate everyone. Last year in our first annual ride we had over 300 riders check the Haunted Forest out and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves. Well this year will be much bigger and better and we hope to draw double what we did last year. In order to do this we really need folks to chip in and help make this an event to remember and something that draws a lot of folks to our county. So again – your help is greatly appreciated.

This year there will also be a few guided tours earlier in the day. Late October in Bell County is usually a great time for fall weather enthusiasts to get out and get some great pictures of the changing leaves, and riders will have some spectacular fall color views with the Cumberland Mountain right before them. The club will also have free maps to hand out earlier in the day to anyone who wants to ride some trails on their own before the Haunted Trail opens.

We also plan on again having a bonfire and some food afterwards. We will probably roast and cook hot dogs and have marsh mellows and hot chocolate for everyone as well…it will be a great time for the whole family.

The biggest news of the event will be that we will be drawing for an ATV and Prize Raffle during the ride! The Holler Crawlers are joining forces with the Pineville Rotary club to give away a new 2009 Honda 420 Rancher FI 4WD and a 6'16' dual axle trailer to go along with it! Second place will get a new 2009 70CC Honda dirt bike! Third place is a 3000 lb winch, and 4th place is a nice ATV hard storage box for your bike! Some pretty sweet prizes if I do say so myself. Tickets for the prize drawings are only $25. They are going really fast and are in limited supply, so get yours fast! There is no entry fee for the Haunted Forest Ride, just as all our other rides (minus benefit rides and even then there are no set amounts for donation), but to enter the prize giveaway, the tickets are $25. There is no entry fee to ride on the ATV Park either, so just look at this as spending a portion of what you'd normally pay to ride somewhere, but in this case you could walk away with a brand new ATV and 16' trailer or some other awesome prizes!

For tickets and info on the raffle, call Curt at 606-499-5715 or Jon at 606-499-0567. You can also email us at hollercrawlers@hotmail.com and visit www.hollercrawlers.com for more information on the ride and raffle as well. Again, I want to stress to get your tickets soon because we are selling them pretty quickly and there is a limited supply.

New for 2011

The soon to be released 2011 model lineup is sure to shock the current ATV and UTV industry. When Polaris Industries introduced the Ranger RZR model in 2008, they changed the way side by side vehicles were perceived. No longer were they just considered farm implements or job site work vehicle, they brought the "Sport" aspect to the market. Once again they are changing the market for 2011 with their new RZR lineup. Polaris is carrying over the names and models from the 2010 model year, but each model is getting a few substantial changes due to more competition from other manufacturers. The 2011 standard RZR will still be 50" trail compliant, but it will be getting upgrades in a few departments. There will be 3 motor choices for the 2011 RZR, an EFI 500cc twin cylinder will be offered with a base price of $6799. This new economy based RZR is for the owner who wants a sporty side by side but doesn't want the high price that comes along with one. The 800 H.O. engine will be the standard motor in the new RZR, which is carried over from the previous model year RZR-S. And an all new EFI 950 (941cc) twin cylinder power plant will be available in the spring of 2011 for the Limited Edition and Special edition RZR's (pricing is TBD). All of the 2011 RZR's feature an all new frame, which is 6" longer than the previous models to accommodate the new engine choices. Polaris engineers boast that the new frame is 60% stronger than the previous models. The 2011 Polaris RZR-S, and RZR-4 share the option of the 950 engine along with the SE and LE RZR's, along with the 800 H.O. engine from previous model years. The suspension travel is increased to 14" on both models due to a new trailing arm setup in the rear, and longer A arms in the front. All 2011 RZR models will have a ROPS certified roll cage made from 1 3/4" chromoly tubing, along with 4 point racing harness style restraints. A few cosmetic changes are evident on all new models which include new styled plastic fenders, a redesigned roll cage, and a more aggressive styled front end. The new Polaris 950 engine is going to be used in multiple platforms, from the Ranger RZR models to the new 3 wheel "Striker" road bike, which will be released in the summer of 2010. The 950 engine is rated at an impressive 97 horsepower and 76 ft-lbs of torque.

From Freedom Advocates.com
WILDLIFE CORRIDOR*CONSERVATION ACT INTRODUCED
Politicians and other agents of Agenda 21*are inundating us with overlapping schemes that*quietly and deliberately drown our property rights and freedom. For surefire evidence, take a look at the plot that is outlined in the*U.S. Congress - H.R. 5101 Wildlife Corridors Conservation Act of 2010. This bill includes transboundary tax-payer funded projects for wild animal bridges and tunnels, increasing roadless areas and other means to capture more natural resources and private property for government and its partners.
Sample projects already in existence:
*****************
*
*
*Wildlife Overcrossing at Easton Hill, WA***
*Chattooga Conservancy Roadless Conservation

********************************************
H.R. 5101 states that "The Secretary, in cooperation with the States and Indian tribes, shall develop a Habitat and Corridors Information System, that shall include maps and descriptions of projected shifts in habitats and corridors of fish and wildlife species in response to climate change; and to assess the impacts of existing development on habitats and corridors." The System is charged with identifying, prioritizing and describing "key parcels of non-Federal land (i.e. state lands and private property) located within the boundaries of units of the National Park System, National Wildlife Refuge System, National Forest System, or National Grassland System that are critical to maintenance of wildlife habitat and migration corridors." This is way over and above what the federal government has already swallowed up under other guises.
Congress and other elites are desperately clinging to the fraud of man-made*global warming in an attempt to illegitimately wrest control of private property. Many people still nominally own and pay taxes on their private property but if their property is even slightly proximate to the imagined*wildlife corridors, then animals rule as "new habitat" is created for them in response to*"climate change"*and other "threats" (meaning people).* It doesn't matter that grandma's house has been there for 100 years and she and the animals get along fine. Not anymore, with this bill government will determine what if any use might be made of land that falls in or near corridors invented ostensibly to protect animals (in truth this is done to take private property and to control the human population).**

The difference between this bill and previous wildland's programs is that this one doesn't just have teeth, it has fangs. Not only does it have "strong language calling on agencies to actually take steps to protect corridors" but it also calls for a funding mechanism (more taxes) to support "such protective action." In short, we will be footing the bill for the global elite to further control our property and diminish our freedom under the guise of habitat protection. And "the Secretary of the Interior may transfer funds to the Foundation under this subsection in advance, without regard to when expenses are incurred." How many of us can get paid whenever we want, even if we haven't yet done the work?
Here are a few examples of Wildlife Corridor Program across the United States. Once again they are bad programs hiding behind pretty pictures and phony words. Rim of the Valley Los Angeles Basin, California, Buffalo Commons Plains States, USA and Yellowstone to Yukon or "Y to Y"* plus there are many more.

Norman MacLeod of Washington explains that HR 5101 incorporates the legislative provisions of Section 481 of HR 2454 (the House version of the climate bill) and Section 6009 of the Kerry-Lieberman climate bill draft.* These sections authorize a wildlife corridors information system.* HR 5101 builds on this with implementation programs, mostly to be housed with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Funding mechanisms and public-private structures are included.* The bill has been referred to the House Natural Resources Committee.
This bill is intended to lead to the formal creation of several continental-scale wildlife corridor systems that include core habitat, connectivity, and buffer systems that will impact livelihoods, homes, ranches, farms, access to resources, outdoor recreation and more.
The bill can be tracked at THOMAS (Library of Congress)

Your Chance To Provide Positive Comments About Motorized Recreation

Your Chance To Provide Positive Comments About Motorized Recreation
By Americans forResponsible Recreation Access
Earlierthis yearPresident Obama held a conference on America’s Great Outdoors and established the America’s Great
Outdoors Initiative to be led by the Secretaries of Interior and Agriculture, the Administrator of the Environmental
Protection Agency and the Chair of the Council of Environmental Quality. The initiative is tasked with reconnecting
Americans, especially children, to the outdoors and they have asked for public input and ideas.
It is vitally important that the Administration hear from you about how you recreate on and enjoy public lands. We can be
sure that they are hearing from those who would support limiting or ending access for motorized recreation, but we have an
opportunity to tell our side of the story as well. So visit America's Great Outdoors, sign-up, and weigh in.
Now is the time to make it clear that OHV recreation is a family-oriented activity that allows for families to spend quality
time outdoors. Too often OHV recreation is defined by the renegade few who behave irresponsibly. Please take this
opportunity to make it clear that millions of Americans responsibly enjoy motorized recreation on public lands.
Talking Points:
OHV use is a legitimate, sustainable use of appropriate public lands, particularly on National Forests and Bureau of
Land Management Units.
* Motorized recreation is a healthy family activity and provides a great opportunity forfamilies to “get away from it
all,” and to experience the great outdoors.
* OHVers, like other recreationists, seek opportunities to not only enjoy the riding experience, but also opportunities
to learn more about cultural and historical context, take in scenic views, observe wildlife, camp, hunt, fish and
participate in many otheractivities.
* The overwhelming majority of OHVers are conservationists, who seek to preserve the same outdoor experiences they
enjoy for children and grandchildren.
OHVers are volunteers. OHVclubs and organizations groom and maintain trails, trailheads and otherfacilities as
well as adopt trails and provide the tools and experience needed for constructing and maintaining all sorts of
recreational trails; not just OHV opportunities.
* ATV and off-highway motorcycle riding encourage and promote physical fitness.
* OHVs provide the opportunity for Americans of all ages and physical capabilities to enjoy the outdoors.
So please take a few minutes to visit America's Great Outdoors and have your voice heard.

The idea of converting the commander into a UTV instead of a side by side ,aka sport machine.

With a few minor additions the frame can support a utv cargo box , although not as long as one on a Polaris ranger.

I am considering using the legend air suspension system.

The short axle tti suspension of the commander will make this a challenge.

If you wish to share your thoughts . Please do.

Enjoy.
